The Ironman South American Championship is held every year and thousands of athletes participate in this event which is organized along a beach. The next installment of this championship i.e. Ironman South American Championship is scheduled to take place on 29 May, 2016.
The Brazilian city of Florianopolis, often referred as the “The Place to Be” as well as “A Mixture of St. Tropez and Ibiza without the Attitude” is where next year’s Ironman Championship is set to be held. Athletes participating in the 2016 edition of the Ironman South American Championship will have to finish the race with a 26.2 mile run along with 13 mile loop, 1 hill as well as two 6.5 mile loops that will be mostly flat.
